With this paper, my claim is that texting does affect the way students write, but in a positive way. I supported my claim by getting sources explaining that texting is actually a way to practice reading and writing, you just need to decipher the words and letters. My counter argument is that teachers still do not approve of seeing texting lingo in writing, and that students need to realize what they are writing and control it. I think that I had a really strong introduction, but didn't back it up with the rest of my paper. I would like any advice about my paper, but would like to know what I could do better on with the "body" of the paper. If I had more time to work on this, I would have found more arguments and counter arguments.

Joey,
ReplyDeleteI would like to start off by saying I really enjoyed reading your paper. It is definitely something that every teenager and college student can relate to. You had a pretty good argument, had some good counter-arguments, good introduction, and good conclusion. Some things that I would work on for this paper would be that you could probably bring in more examples and some other scholars in the body of the paper to back up exactly what you're trying to say. Also, I would try to work on the flow of the paper. It's pretty tough for all of us at this point, but I'm sure you can do it. As I said before, overall, your paper was pretty good. Hopefully my comments could help you make it even better. :)
